Our History
The Haviland Heritage Foundation (HHF) was initially established in 2003 by a group of local citizens interested in preserving the history and heritage of Haviland, KS.
After a few years of limited activity, HHF began meeting again in 2015. Some of our initial activities have been reviewing by-laws and membership records, 2018 big kansas road trip- quilt display, antique thresher show and breakfast, publishing our annual newsletter, videos highlighting Haviland history, classic car show and planning for the annual community Play Day. We have opened a Haviland Heritage Museum that highlights historical displays form Business, schools and churches, This museum is located in the Heart of America Resource Center at 312 E. Hwy. 54 in Haviland (previously Clark’s Machine Shop).
